Mission Statement
Engine House #9

What is Engine House #9 or as the locals call it E-9? E-9 is Tacoma’s first American Gastropub. First and foremost, we are a pub. We offer a full service bar and a wide array of wine and beers as well a gluten-free options. Furthermore we are a full service restaurant that prides itself in offering locally grown and sourced ingredients with a focus in seasonality.
Those of us at E-9 strive to be a part of the North Tacoma, Sixth Avenue Business District, University of Puget Sound, and surrounding communities. Whenever possible, we will buy all of our products from local sources to include farms, dairies, and fishermen. We also plan to support local charitable organizations and youth programs.
As a business, many operations focus solely on the customers and the employees are a secondary concern. I plan on making Engine House #9 a place where employees look forward to coming to work. Successful employees will take ownership in our business and will strive to make E-9 the best that it can be! As an owner, I will ensure that employees will be valued for their contributions and will therefore be compensated accordingly. I intend for us to become a secondary family. As a result, our products will be exceptional! Our service, extraordinary! We intend to build and leave a legacy in Tacoma!
Many people define success differently. I define it as, doing something you love, with those you love and care for. I will run E-9 with some of my closest friends, and we will be a success by; serving our community, providing great food, providing great drink, and providing an inviting atmosphere for all who enter our doors.
